Training

NLPtCA has developed a set of training standards to which NLP and NLPt training organisations can apply for formal approval of their courses. This approval is only awarded to such courses that are of an agreed level of excellence. Some training courses listed have completed the requirements for 'provisional' approval and are in the process of gaining full approval status. Others will be added as they enter the process.

Approved NLP Practitioner training is not listed here although it includes courses which meet a minimum standard of 120 hours (60 of these hours are permissible by distance learning) and are recognised by bodies such as the Professional Guild of NLP and INLPTA.

The Master Practitioner courses listed here satisfy the core curriculum guidelines for NLP training for those wishing to practice NLP psychotherapy and counselling. Applicants who apply to be accredited with NLPtCA and registered with UKCP as a Neurolinguistic Psychotherapist must hold a Master Practitioner certificate recognised by NLPtCA. Applicants who start their Master Practitioner training after January 2007 must do so with an NLPtCA approved training provider(listed below).

Approved Modular and integrated psychotherapy courses are intended to be completed over a two year period following the completion of the Practitioner and Master Practitioner training. The courses listed here satisfy the NLPtCA Modular Psychotherapy Training Guidelines for training as a Neurolinguistic Psychotherapist. Whilst this training is a mandatory part of preparation for NLPtCA Accreditation as a Psychotherapist there are additional criteria to be fulfilled before applying for individual accreditation. Members of NLPtCA can download from the Members' File Store (Folder:03 Accreditation Information) all the documents required to apply for individual accreditation with NLPtCA and registration with UKCP.

If you wish to apply for your training course to be approved so that it can be included in this list please email our Training Standards Officer Sally Ashworth at training@nlptca.com.
