| Becoming a Member of the NLPtCA |
What the NLPtCA offers: The Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association is the only professional organisation in the UK that provides help and support to psychotherapists and counsellors who base their therapeutic work on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). When you join you get: • Professional Registration. NLPtCA is a formal "Member Organisation" and accrediting body of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). As a member it provides the only pathway to professional registration as a Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapist, and in the future as a Neuro Linguistic Counsellor. You may download a copy of the our Accreditation Criteria, our Accreditation Process and our Guidelines for New Applicants. The complete set of accreditation documents including an application form and supervisor/trainer report forms are available to NLPtCA members in the Accreditation Information folder in the File Store of the Members Area. • A well developed Code of Ethics that all members agree to adhere to. With this comes a complaints procedure that is clear, balanced and well supported. ( Click here to download a copy of our Complaints Procedure ) • An annual directory of members that is made available free to the public. Members can also choose to have their details listed on this web site. • A Brief from the Chair which keeps members in contact with what is going on. It also provides members with a space to reflect on both practice and policy issues in depth. Archive copies are available to members. ( Click here to download the latest Brief ) • A yearly conference when members meet each other and discuss both professional issues and concerns related to the organisation. • Access to internet discussions and links to other members as well as access to all policy and discussion documents within the organisation all via the Members Area of this site. Through this internet facility, as well as through traditional methods members are able to voice concerns, ask questions and be involved in the running of the organisation. NLPtCA holds an AGM each year where the Board formally reports on the previous year and places on the Board are available for open election. This allows all members the opportunity to be actively involved in the work of NLPtCA. Click here to download a member application form - we regret that we cannot yet accept membership applications directly on this site. Membership fees for 2007/2008. However, please complete this form and post it to us. |
