    This Psychotherapy Diploma programme is for NLP Master Practitioners wishing to transfer their NLP learning into a therapeutic context.  This 2 year programme aims to train delegates to the level required for application to become an accredited NLPtCA (Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy & Counselling Association) member and registration with the UKCP (United Kingdom for Psychotherapy) (both organisations requiring separate individual application with associated fees).

    This course is aimed at:

    Master Practitioners who meet the entry criteria (please see website for a checklist), who want to train in the field of Psychotherapy and apply their NLP knowledge and skill within a therapeutic setting, offering counselling or psychotherapy.

    Topics covered:

    You will study a variety of related psychotherapeutic topics, including:

    * The Theory and Practice of Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy

    * Human Development

    * Psychopathology and Psychopharmacology

    * Sexuality and Gender

    * Ethics

    * Research Methods

    * Social Science

    * Other Psychotherapeutic Studies

    * Clinical Practice

    Level of learning support:

    Throughout the entire programme, you will receive ongoing feedback from the Course Tutors, as well as peer feedback.  You will be required to keep your own Personal Development Log as part of your Reflexive Practice.  Every opportunity will be sought to ensure your skill and practice as a Psychotherapist is developed ethically and that you are working at the standards laid down by the NLPtCA.

    Additional requirements:

    In addition to meeting the entry criteria, delegates will be required to undertake regular Clinical Supervision of their client work .  Delegates will also be required to undertake their own Personal Therapy with an Accredited NLPtCA Psychotherapist.  Delegates will also be required to become members of the NLPtCA.  All of these additional requirements will incur costs to the individual that fall outside of the programme investment.

    NB: this programme is designed to train delegates to the level required for individual application for accreditation with the NLPtCA and registration with the UKCP, however, the programme is not endorsed nor in any way connected to either the NLPtCA or UKCP.
